GREECE Wedding & ELOPEMENT Photographer
You don’t have to perform for your photos. I’ll give you direction when you need it, then get out of the way and let Greece do the rest.
FILM & DIGITAL

VASILIS LIAPPIS
Greece Wedding & Elopement photographer.
Hello! I am Vasilis, a Greece Wedding & Elopement photographer, based in Athens and Karpathos. And for over a decade I’ve photographed weddings and elopements across Santorini, Mykonos, Tinos, Crete, the Aegean islands, and beyond. My job isn’t to direct your wedding, it’s to notice it. I’ll step in with a little direction when it actually helps, and otherwise stay out of the way so you can just be there.
Junebug Weddings, ProWed, Fearless Photographers, and MyWed rank my work among the top wedding and elopement photographers in Greece.
Though the moment that actually matters to me happens later, when a couple opens their gallery and says, this is exactly how it felt. I started with film, long before I ever photographed a wedding, and that’s still the foundation everything else is built on. Film is something I offer alongside digital for couples who want it, an add-on rather than the default, and when you choose it, the grain and warmth of analogue sits right alongside the precision of digital in your gallery. What I’m actually looking for, on an island cliffside or in the middle of a party at midnight, is smaller than a shot list. Your father’s face when he sees you. The five seconds you steal together while everyone else is looking somewhere else. The version of the day only the two of you actually lived.
Whether it’s the serenity of an elopement on a windy island or the celebration of a wedding, my aim is to immortalise the visual narrative of your day.

Kind Words

“We cannot express enough how incredible our experience was with Vasilis as our Greece Wedding photographer”
From the moment we met him, he made us feel comfortable and understood our vision perfectly. On our wedding day, he was professional, yet felt like a close friend who was as invested in our special day as we were.

“There could never be words to fully capture what working with Vasilis as our Greece Elopement photographer meant.”
Not only is he an incredibly gifted photographer, but he quickly became a dear friend. Vasilis captures life – pure, honest, raw moments, the ones that feel as if they are inevitably slipping away. He snaps moments you had forgotten, feelings, an essence of the day. His photos preserve an honest joy, a truth. I am blown away by his pictures every time we revisit them. He was a dream to work with and even coordinated a jeep to take us up to a secluded part of the island for a sunrise photoshoot. There just aren’t enough words to say what this experience meant, what he was able to find and photograph. Thank you, brilliant Vasilis. Working with you was a true gift..

“Vasilis went above and beyond.”
His care, intention and skill is undeniable…But most importantly, his energy and vibe throughout our whole journey from leading up to the wedding (video calls, professionalism, care and intention), during the event (skill, professionalism, intention, energy, vibes), and following up (communication, photo sneak peaks were returned so quickly and the full album of 600+ photos came within a few months!!) was extraordinary.
Vasilis was born to photograph, and beyond his undeniable skill…He is an incredible human being.
We are above and beyond words SO GRATEFUL that we chose him to capture our special day.

My Promise to you AS YOUR GREECE WEDDING & ELOPEMENT PHOTOGRAPHER
Many of the couples I photograph at their Greek island wedding or elopement have never stood in front of a camera together before, and that mix of excitement and nerves is completely normal. What I offer isn’t direction, it’s rhythm. A calm presence that lets you settle in, breathe, and actually be at your own wedding instead of performing it. From that space, the real thing has room to happen. A laugh neither of you planned. A look between you that no one had to ask for. Those are the photographs that last, not because they were captured perfectly, but because they were never staged to begin with.

PROUDLY FEATURED ON
Portrait & Couple Photo Sessions
Every Greece couple & portrait session I photograph is built around one goal. Not the perfect pose, but the real moment underneath it. These are the images that last.
Whether it’s a Greece engagement session, an anniversary shoot, or simply a moment to celebrate your love and individuality, every session is built around authenticity, not direction. I work across the Greek islands and Athens, bringing a calm, unhurried presence so you can simply exist together while I document what happens naturally. The result is not posed portraits, but real photographs that feel exactly like the moment did.

Maternity & Family Photo Sessions in Greece
Celebrate This Chapter with Authentic, Heartfelt Images.
Whether you are expecting, welcoming a new arrival, or simply wanting to document your family as it is right now, a maternity or family photography session in Greece gives you something genuinely lasting. I work in natural light across Athens and the Greek islands. My images feel relaxed and real rather than posed and performative. Because the most meaningful photographs come from connection, not direction. These are the images your children will look back on one day. Let’s make them honest.
Communion & Baptism Photography in Greece
Documenting Sacred Milestones with Authenticity and Care
Whether it is your child’s baptism or first communion, these are the moments your family will return to for the rest of their lives. As a Greece baptism and communion photographer, I bring a calm, unobtrusive presence to every ceremony. I work quietly in the background so the day unfolds naturally. This ensures nothing important goes undocumented. I photograph across Athens, the Greek islands, and beyond. My approach is to capture not just the ritual itself. It is the joy, the tears, and the small moments in between that make each celebration entirely unique.
